    yourchair, JB Weld, IMO, is fine for fixes like you mentioned, although I would caution anyone who chooses to go this route to use regular ole JB Weld and not Kwik. I have done some repairs with it that would amaze some people. A lot of success with it lies in the surface prep and application.

    Mine took about 4 hours. The hardest part was figuring out how to get to the COP bolt on #6 (or #7 maybe?). Either way, the fuel rail had to come up. Unless you had a 7mm ratcheting wrench, I just don't see how you could possibly get to it otherwise. You know, it really want that big of a pain...

    JB Weld maybe. You have to be one talented MOFO to TiG a steel plug into one of these heads. Esp plug 8.

    So like a ton of others, my 1st gen Mach amp is toast. I want to replace it with an aftermarket unit while keeping the stock HU and without running tons of wiring. As I understand it, the harness that plugs into the amp carries a differential input, correct? I should be able to run this right...

    At least 1,2 and 5,6 have Motorcraft branded coils on them still, so there is a chance it was done at the dealer (or never done at all).

    It's a 2001 with the 5.4. I know the premise of the timesert and how it works, my question is how in the world one gets their hands and tools in place in order to do cylinders 4 and 8, or hell 3 and 7 for that matter. I'll check out the magnetic spark plug socket. That looks pretty slick.

    Can you revive a failed LSD?

    If it's anything like the 8.8, which I would guess it is, you can buy the clutch packs from the dealer. If you want it to be a little tighter (off road, racing, etc), you can put an extra plate in there. Let us know what you decide.

    One more question. It has a factory roof rack, but there no crossbars. What type of crossbars came on there and what did they look like? I would assume ebay or any ford parts online would have them yes?

    Thanks for the info. The front air springs are gone. It has regular shocks. I need to replace all the regular shocks that are on it because I think they are toast. Ill shoot you a PM. Thanks.
