2013 XLT bubbling paint
There is a huge thread on this topic and many solutions to remedy the situation. I stripped my hatch completely took it to a Powder coating shop, matched the color and had them do it (Tuxedo Black ) and clear coat. That was over three years ago and still looking great! Any other shocks available besides Ford OEM and Bilstein?
I just ordered struts from Rockauto for my 2011 LTD EL. I thought about the Bilsteins, however they just come as the shock only , you have to compress the springs and reassemble the struts, extra work and possibly death from using those compression gizmo's. Wiz, did he offer any guarantee? I took mine first to shop that had multiple awards on the wall specializing in Al body repair work.. When I asked about a guarantee, he said nope, it's from corrosion no guarantees at all! The parts need to be dipped into the Zinc Chromate so it penetrates inside...- fischer5

I am now into two years on my Hatch (2011 Expedition Ltd. EL) after having it completely stripped bringing it to a Powder Coating Shop. No signs on any reoccurring bubbles or damages. Console Lock or Vault for 2017 Expedition
Hockeypuck I checked online at consolevault and you are correct the box had changed from mine, 2011 to the 2017 model. I would follow Adieu run wires under the console to a hub which could be in front of the console as there is just an empty plastic space there- fischer5

Please check the picture The wire for the phone is easy to run through the coin holders, which are of no use any longer while the Vault is closed and secure- fischer5

So I went to the salvage yard, bought a replacement deck lid. Some cancer along the bottom edges and inside the lip, from 2013 Ltd Tuxedo Black. Replaced it and took off my lid, stripped it of all badges rubber wiring to just metal. Took it to my local Powder Coating expert last week and now...- fischer5
