Check under the drivers side floor to see if you have any water from possibly a leaky windshield. This is a common problem in the first gens Water leaks onto the fuse block/gem and causes those kind of problems. When you replaced the switch you hand to open the system that would allow freon to escape. You would have heard that. If you didn't have any pressure in that line then you had no freon in the line.- 05expedeb

spark plug and coil on plug questions 03
In reading this thread may I suggest that you change the spark plug boot and coil wire inside of the boot. My opinion is that the boot may fail rather then the coil. AGAIN THAT IS MY OPINION. Also use dielect greese on the coil wire inside of the boot. If you do change the coils they...- 05expedeb

Something keeps blowing my rear wiper fuse.
The reason the fuse blows is because it is drawing to many amps. This is called an OVERLOAD. putting in a higher rated fuse only allows the device to draw more amps. New Member, spark plug torque question...
The factory service manual is 80 to 178 inch lbs. From my own experience and working on 4 gen 1 expeditions I have always used 16 ft lbs for the plugs. Have never had a problem with that spec. Trailer wiring
On the 2000 model look under the rear and follow the wires from the 4 pin connector they should plug into a larger connector which also is used for the 7 pin wire harness. Send me a PM with your email address and I will send you some information on the connector and wiring.- 05expedeb

98 espy 4wd 4.6, fuel line diagram
The shop manual shows a picture of the fuel system but it doesn't show anything specific as to mounts or connectors You may have to get under and start moving things to see what the problem is.- 05expedeb
