Hard to test a Maf without a scanner. One way is to have truck sitting warmed up at idle and tap on it. If the engine stutters at all, is a sign it is bad. Also, i know you dont have this symptom, but have had cars come in that would crank, no start. Unplug the maf and would fire right up...

    Blower Motor

Do you have the owners manual? Most of them are under the hood with all the rest of the relays. Cannot guarantee, I just bought mine Saturday.

    Fuel Gauge

Valid point above. I have many cars come into shop as a no start. Turns out they were just out of fuel. Anyways, Fuel sender is in the tank with the pump. Most of them are only serviceable as the pump and sender assembly together. There are tests you can do to make sure it is not a gage issue...

    new member MAF Sensor help

Above posts are exactly right. The MAF sensor reads by heating a really thin wire. It then determines how much air is passing it by how much the wire is cooled down and how much amperage is needed to keep it at a certain temp. If this wire gets dirty or coated with oil from a filter, it will...

A little more. Temperature sensors can play a large part of driveability issues. If the sensor is reading hotter or colder than actual ambient temp, the computer will change the amount of fuel sent to engine. Colder air is denser air, more air molecules in same volume. So the computer will send...

back to the issue at hand...

OK... Upstream o2 sensors are the ones that impact fuel. They will fluctuate from about .100 to .900 volts or 100 to 900 millivolts. Depends on scanner being used. 500 is the middle. It should not stay there though. It should swing from 100 to 900 and back constantly. That is normal operation...

    My 2000 5.4l Eddie Bauer 4x4

Looks good man. I just picked one up today. Eddie bauer like yours but red and about 240k On it. It blew #7 plug out of the head. I only paid $1200 for it though. Ive successfully repaired this on a few trucks so hopefully will work for mine now.
