    back glass rattle?

If your source cannot produce it properly than the Amperage of the speaker is Moot. Same with wattage. You dont get great sound from ONE part, you get great sound from SYSTEMS. Thats why I usually tell people to swap out just their speakers, because its ONE thing and its much better. If you...

    back glass rattle?

You can put some solid weatherstripping in the bottom edge of the glass while open, and then close over it. It keeps the glass from rattling at all. Its more about holding it tight than insulating it. You may find that the REAR WINDSHIELD WIPER is actually the thing making the rattling on the...

    slight bucking at hwy speeds?

Until I read "did give me a box full of..." I would chuckle and say that you can never trust a previous owners tales of your truck. Assume everything is original and has never been touched. at your mileage (get that, and your model, etc, into your signature file) you can assume that everything...

    slight bucking at hwy speeds?

I would say its not a sensor since that SHOULD throw a code. I would check your trans fluid as suggested above, could be old or low. I doubt its spark, since you experience no problems with startup. My first thought is to say "welcome to the E4OD transmission."

Exhaust difference between springs and air ride?

if you have been converted, you should be okay. SHOULD. I am no way an expert on the matter. are you sure your converted? I didn't think that Air ride was an option on an XLT in 99, only on the Eddie Bauers. I think that is why you see the warning, in these years, the 5.4 was more often in...

    After market cd player

Its not worth the WORK to save it. even if all goes well, you can do better aftermarket for less, installed, etc. There are many Double Din Dash CD changers that also have modern amenities, and will give you the center console back.

    New tires now shakes

295s, were your old tires factory 265s? That much size change it may just be that you need to drive a bit for the PCM to catch up.

Read about the windshield leak above. PCMs are crazy things.

    Motor mounts

Its usually a stupid model/feature thing when this stuff happens. Whats nice is that next time you will think to say "2 wheel drive" when they ask what model you have!

    Motor mounts

You got it autozone. Thats why. You get what you pay for with chain stores and they pay associates poorly... Probably the wrong part, wrong year, wrong box, wrong something. You don't work that style retail unless you cant get a better retail job. Dont get me wrong, many of the people in...

    awd transmission

What is your model, etc. factory....? Very few of these beasts had 2WD. Did the eddie bauers EVER have 2WD. (Im not asking the poster, I am asking everyone else) Some XLTs had trans coolers, its part of the towing package. You could have had an XLT with a stock cooler (my 98 has one).

    Shaking at 60

Possibly your Drivesaft. They can get just off a bit from a suspention change, and could cause this. This is merely a postulation from my knowledge of Jeep XJs, where this condition is dubbed the "Death Wobble."

Fuel Smell and Ticks. No Codes

I have concluded its the right side Catalytic. Can I replace just the right side or should I do both? as far as I can tell the other is fine. If I were to get a BETTER Cat, should I replace both sides?

Fuel Smell and Ticks. No Codes

Shot this today, I know its the exhaust system in some way, but since I have never taken it apart I hope there may be someone here whom hears it and goes "its this." https://youtu.be/y-7azXQNclg

Fuel Smell and Ticks. No Codes

Time to tackle this before I start hauling the trailer all summer. Expy works great, drives great, has no driving issues and throws NO codes. When I first start it up, there is a strong fuel smell. Its clearly gas, but its gone within moments, and does not return. Its not that I...

just rewire completely, put in some REALLY bright HIDs, and then the smoked lens will not be an issue.

    Bog/hesitation on hard acceleration

Check your Throttle cable to see its tight. It could be that and it takes about 5 seconds to check. Pop your hood and see if the cable has any give. Your "stumble" may just be the moment longer it takes for your throttle to open when you push down.

    1997 Ford Expy Oem Radio w/Prem part#?

'alien spaceship' is an advertised feature of a current Audi HUD. I will do something awesome some day but my expy is not a DD so it is not a priority. If this tape product really works, it opens doors for saving old factory stereos. Aux jacks are not amplified enough to work off of most...

    1997 Ford Expy Oem Radio w/Prem part#?

what he did ^^ is a VERY good option vs hunting the original down. (I still would like to point out that for $235, you can do much better aftermarket...) Z168 Tape read heads are usually terrible and is why the tape to aux sounds so terrible (that and headphone jacks being terrible). The...
