Downstream o2 sensor connector
Going through the wheel well is the best way. Remove the liner like Trainmaster said. Also remove the nut so that the transmission dipstick can be pulled aside. Try to hook the connector and pull it closer to the wheel well area and get it disconnected. Get the O2 out. I was able to break it...- LandOfLincoln

1997 XLT 4.6 2WD: Can't remove Spark Plugs! Help!!
The way I get to #4 is to create an opening by pulling the hoses up and to the right. To remove the plug, I insert a spark plug socket with a 3" extension into the hole. Who has Children as an Expedition Owner

inner fender rubber baffle/curtain
Wheel well liner or fender liner should return some results. I had been on lookout for an inexpensive used one for the LH side for some time, but think I might just make my own like the other guy suggested. The cheapest I've seen was close to $50, too much for me!- LandOfLincoln

#7 COP retainer screw
The way I get this one loose on mine is by use of a small 1/4" that is basically a very small breaker bar. A few turns with that then remove the rest of the way with one of those flexible/bendable tools that accept a screwdriver handle one one end and socket on the other.
