start stall, no start then start
2001 5.4 155K last week I hard start, check engine lite. Went to Orielys guy hooked up reader, never told me codes just babbled about no speedo reading and not start. did not give me codes. went home cleared disconnected battery, lite out, truck ran fine. 2001 5.4 Eddie Bauer 150K Hot start.... went to start, fired right up. Stalled. tried starting, too 3 times. Started check engine lite came on. Ran good. Went to Orielys to have codes checked. I was an SUV owner before they were called SUV. I have my first Blazer in 1990. I enjoy going off road with my family. I usually ride my Harley, and use my Exp when the weather is less than good or need to haul something.- detailer03

Strange engine noises
if its coming from the bottom, yes, rod or main bearing, if the torque converter is going bad it might make a tapping or knocking noise, pick up one of the auto stethascopes from the auto parts store. it might pinpoint the noise, also wrist pins might make some ticking sounds also; How old is...- detailer03

1998 Expedition Very Bad Swaying in Curves - Help
first is your ride factory air ride? Things to think about, shocks, stabilizer links, tires, tire pressures, two wheel or 4 wheel drive, alignment, worn front end parts. These thing do not handle like sports cars, they are heavy.- detailer03

What oil/filter do you use?
Amsoil and Amsoil or Wix filters. Amsoil because I can go longer between oil changes as well has better protection in the Arizona heat- detailer03

ticking
I have an 01 with 5.4 Under light accel there is a faint ticking noise. not a lifter or rocker arm type, it goes away once I stop accel. it sounds like a small exhaust leak but it comes from under the hood. I have about 150K on it, oil is full (synthetic). Any ideas.- detailer03

Runs like a shit pot in distress. Check engine lite on. Oriley checked said #4 misfire. At idle in gear feels like a miss. When accell it is rough cruising ok. In the olden days I would look for a burned wire on the header or a bad spot in the cap, etc. Help me help me. BTW 140 on clock...- detailer03

Help! Replaced heater core!!
Did you replace the flasher? it is in the fuse block. Not the same flasher as 4 way flashers.- detailer03

Double check fuses and relays. If you did not disconnect your battery when you did the job, good chance you blew a fuse or relay.- detailer03

use a jewelers loop. what you might very well have are what is known as acid rain spots.
