Odd Part Found in Trans Pan
Wow, thanks so much guys, you just made my day. I'm the 2nd owner since 2004, it only has 78k miles and I've babied it. I figured it's time to change the trans, TC and both diffs. The stealership wanted $260 just to flush, but I wanted to see the particles in the pan and change the filter also...- Swanny66

Odd Part Found in Trans Pan
Hi all, I'm changing my trans oil (2003 Expe, 4x4, 5.4L, auto), removed the pan and filter. While cleaning the pan I found a plastic part with an o-ring, looks important. I have the 1000+ page service manual, looked at every single parts picture on the trans I could find, nothing resembles it...- Swanny66

Door Ajar Radio and Auto lights help
I think I had the same problem you're experiencing. Door Ajar light on all the time, but after a couple minutes of driving the dome/interior lights would eventually go off. Turned out to be a damaged switch in the passenger door probably from people slamming the door too hard. It's not a very...- Swanny66

Grinding when Steering Wheel is Fully Turned (Right)
I have a 2003 Expe 5.4L 4WD, it has always made a growling/vibration noise when turning left or right at slow speeds in 2H. Per the service manual, I checked that the hubs are in fact releasing when going from 4WD (low or high) back to normal 2H position. I believe it is the limited slip front...- Swanny66

Dome Lights Won't ALWAYS come on when doors opens.
I have a 2003 Expedition. My problem was the switches, I had 2 doors, both passenger side. I found that the switches are not very robust, crimped sheet metal holding them together. I removed the switches, connected a DVM (ohmmeter), wiggled them back into it correct position, then gorrilla-glued...- Swanny66
