    2000 Expedition transmission overheat

    I've had trouble with overheating my transmission when I'm trail riding, usually long uphills will get it hot enough to start leaking in the front. My mechanic installed a Derale cooler with a built in fan, my heater core is currently pissing me off so I can't really say if it fixed the issue...

    Hey Beaver, Welcome to come to the forum. I'm doing the same type of build as your starting. You can get 35" tires with just torsion keys and spacers. I stuffed 37's with a little trimming. Good luck with your build, I'm just down in Portland if you ever want to go wheeling.

    For my 2001 I have torsion keys, spacers and bilstein shocks, I rebuild the front suspension when I did the lift, I pulled the front sway bar for wheel travel, I think it rides good, it was a little better with the 35s but not bad with the 37s. I just really need to gear it up and get a locker...

    I got my rock sliders from a company in Eumnclaw wa. XO fab. The 80" kit would be perfect for anything with 35" tires or smaller.good price and quality.

    I did the whole upper arms, Rockauto has the upgraded greasable Moog parts, Good prices too. They seem to be holding up well and I've been kinda rough on them

    Welcome, When I did my lift I redid the front ball joints and tie rods, it is a good time to do it and it will be better driving when you get it done. you can pretty easy fit 35's
