Thank you much. Well right now it’s sitting in my friends 55 degree barn until tomorrow. I just find it odd that this happened on our first ice storm since I owned it. Plus the front bag on the passenger side wasn’t raising either, but then later in the day it did.
See, when I came home...
I haven’t done any off-roading with it or heaving towing. No suspension maintenance. Having touched it.
Could the cold cause a height sensor to fail? Drove it yesterday in 38 degree while it poured rain. Parked it then it dropped to single digits with ice and snow. I jump in this morning and...
so today I was suppose to go on a 500 mile round trip with my 2006 Limited. Got in and drive 2 miles and got a “check air suspension” message. And noticed the left front was completely flat and only the right rear looked to have raised. While the other two weren’t raised, they also weren’t...
Yesterday I was pulling our 2k lb pop up camper after having no issues for about 600 miles pulling it, but I hit "off" on the cruise while driving up a steep hill bc I was coming to my turn. The engine instantly went into failsafe mode.
I got to my destination and was noticing a shutter...
Here's an update to my situation.
I have NO AC in the rear vents however it's not the blender switch bc I can make the vents blow hot air. When I turn on the ACi can hear what sounds like air getting pushed back through the lines to the rear but just warm air.
Weird thing is if I shut off...
so for some reason when I start my truck on a hot day it continuously blows warm air until I reach highway speed's then it starts to grow mostly cold but still not as cold as it should I don't feel. It's nowhere near as cold as our Toyota RAV4, I can tell you that much.
Once it starts blowing...
i keep getting this code. It started right before I swapped out my plugs due to several misfires. Most of the misfires were on bank 2, the drivers side, so I'm guessing the cat is bad after it was dealing with 2 or 3 misfires from that bank for who knows how long. It was apparently misfiring...
Lol. I'm just scared if those two give me the same level of trouble a couple others did, then I'll be screwed lol. So just figure I'll let someone else deal with them for only 45 bucks lol. It's worth not getting so stressed lol.
I bought the same light bar recently. I love how it looks on yours. I was debating if it was going on my Jeep Wrangler or the Expedition. Lol. But where you mounted it is exactly where I was thinking about as well and I think you sold me on it lol. Where did you mount you switch and how did you...
Changed all but my rear plugs. My arms are too fat to reach them lol. And I was stressed the heck out after replacing the front 6. Several of them the thread jacket/hex nut broke loose from the porcelain but just sat in the cylinder spinning and even grabbing them with needle nose plyers, i...
Well changing my plugs fixed my misfire. It runs like a new truck.
I figured out the noise. It has an exhaust leak behind the passenger cat. Very mild. But I'm going to get it to a muffler shop and get that fixed up.
2006 4wd. I don't see how the 4wd matters to an engine issue, but okay. I'm going to replace the spark plugs first. Then I'll tend to what ever might be causing this pinging.
Lately when I start my truck after it's sat a while, I get a very pronounced pinging/knocking. Once warmed up it's quiet. It's the least noticeable when standing in front of the truck at the grill, so I don't think it's timing or phasers. But it's most noticeable on passenger side just behind...
Unfortunately I've just found there isn't a big off road market for these Expeditions. Sucks bc I'm sure they'd be a great "excursion" vehicle.
One thing I love about my old Jeep Wrangler, there's off-road markets everywhere for that thing lol. More so than OEM type replacement parts lol.
Yea the one this guy has was in the thousands lol. If he thinks it's just spark plugs after he looks at it, I'll do those myself and save a couple to a few hundred lol. But if he finds it's a timing issue like a cam phaser, I'll just give it to him lol
He told me one time he did plugs on one...
I'm actually taking it to a mechanic my friend recommended who has one of these big fancy machines lol. I'm only trusting my friends recommendation bc he usually does his own work as in depth as tranny builds, but if he hasn't got the time, this is the only guy he trusts to turn a wrench on his...
I looked thoroughly. I then read online that only some have one. Mine must not.
I also just got a P0430 code indicating catalytic inefficiency in bank 2 which makes sense since bank 2 is where cyl 5 is and that's where it originally showed a misfire.
I don't see a schrader valve to tap into on the fuel rail. Is there one anywhere or how do I check the pressure. And I was definitely planning on doing a compression test on cyl 5. What's an appropriate compression reading on these engines?
ive replaced the coil, plug and injector in my 06 expedition Limited. I pulled the O2 sensors to test the cats only to find that didn't solve my hesitation issue at wide open throttle or my misfire under light load. I'm thinking possibly a fuel filter now? I can't get it to throw a code...
