    Nice Looking truck. Good luck with it. I have the dark windows in my Maxima and they are a pia at night. The drivers glass is just as dark as the rear and it makes taking turns very difficult at night. Be careful how dark you go.

    There is a video on youtube called: How to fix and repair a radiator support mount cradle bracket. He made brackets and supported the radiator from the bottom. I ask the guy about it about 2 years after installation and he said it was holding up fine. Seems like it worth a shot.

    That is the radiator core support. It's a common problem on Expys. Some people replace them at a cost of appr. $1000. I would keep driving the truck unless it so loose that the fan is hitting the radiator. It could last for quite a while.

    Replacing the whole board when all you need is a motor is really taking advantage of the customer. Imagine if you needed both sides done, it would cost over $4700. How can they sleep at night?

    Good to hear that the noise is gone. In reading your mileage it is the lowest mileage I have ever seen on a 15 year old vehicle. Is it actually 18,500 or is there a 0 missing. Just curious. Thanks.

    Leave it in drive and use the brakes. Problem solved Lol. I was told and confirmed it with Scotty Kilmer, that down shifting on large hills puts a strain on the drive train. Brakes are cheap, engines aren't.

    You may want to try putting on a pair of Jersey gloves and running your fingers of both hands several times between the grove in the gasket. I do this from time to time on my door seals. It may help solve the problem. The gaskets get squeezed over the years and this helps bring them back...

    I looked up the 20" Michelin LTX for a 2012 and they are $197. Almost double the 18". This may explain your great tire deal and why other members are paying more.

    Your post is very interesting and you may be right on. Prices of these vehicles has to come down. Maybe then more people could afford them and we wouldn't need the layoff and plant closings.
