    7000 empty or full? I pulled a 5800empty/7000 full 32' travel trailer from PA to CO, UT, MT, and back all across the rockies without issues in my 2016. Maybe dropped to 55 on the very steepest grades just to not hammer the truck.

    I had the factory one and it internally melted on my on a long trip. I now have the Tekonsha Prodigy p3 and am very happy with it. They make a direct connect pigtail, so no cutting wires.

    180-190 seems normal on a long run unloaded. I very rarely peak mid-220's towing a 7000# travel trailer on very big hills. Mostly stays under 220. I have the tow package/trans cooler.

    Following. I removed my factory controller and replaced with a Prodigy after the factory literally melted internally 1000 miles from home. Prodigy doesn't fit in the hole. If I can come up with a good idea, I have a 3D printer.

    Keep losing throttle control, P2112 throttle stuck closed. Shutdown and startup and it would run fine for a few more miles and fail again. Cleaned the throttle body, issue not resolved.     If you can find a factory harness to plug the brake controller into, that is ideal. I know Prodigy controllers make harnesses that will plug into their unit and right into factory harnesses, no soldering required. I would imagine other brands have this as well.

    As of now, I have no paperwork related to this. They ordered the hood, badges, and tailgate, but they said the hoods are on 6-8 week back order. Once everything comes in, then they will do the actual work. At that point, hopefully I'll get something that I can share.

    We've been happy with this set. You can play separate DVDs, or watch the same one thing on both. It included headrest mounts and a storage bag. Sound quality through the speakers is good and plenty loud. Same as Deadman, these only get installed for longer trips...

    First thing I would check is to see if this is a truck issue or trailer issue. Unplug the trailer and check the plug on the truck using a multi meter or test light. I don't know if you have a 4-pin or 7-pin plug, but you can Google the pin-outs to find the wire you are looking for.
