Just a update I took your advice. I had a shop do the upgrade. And I was able to get it all done for 900.00. with a year warranty.- Gunner

Okay I want to go another direction I have a 3.31 ratio 9.75 my tag reads S930J I want to change to a 3.73 on the tag it reads S935M. What does the last letter stand for.- Gunner

I have 150,000 miles on it And never had any problems knock on metal. It just wont quit and l really would like to do the upgrade. If possable, I was a mechanic in the service for many years. I have replaced axle bearings but have never tore into axle gearing.- Gunner

I have a 1999 4x4 exped 5.4 with 9.75 and 3.31 ratio. I am wanting to change to 3.73 due to pulling a travel trailer. Do I need to change front ratio too.- Gunner
