A/C Blower Switches Air Flow on its Own

I changed my control panel (EATC). Cost me $109 plus a $75 core charge. The control panel came in, I installed it in about 10 minutes....works perfect. True, I hated to spend the money, but I live in Florida and need my AC working properly. Worth it to me.

    AC controller repair

I got it off eBay for 109 plus a $75 core charge. It came very quick and took about 15 minutes to put it in. I wish I would have known this information last year. Could have avoided the entire issue.

Got the new controller installed and everything works perfect. What a difference.

    AC controller repair

That is part of the main unit. I have company coming so I ordered a refurbished one. Hope I can just plug the new one in and everything works. It's too hot in Florida to have AC issues. The truck has 257000 miles on it and I don't know that the control unit has ever been changed. Didn't look...

    AC controller repair

So while waiting on my mail, I decided to open it up and get ready for the first one. It looks like mind has tac welds holding the actuators in....UGGH. Back to the drawing board.

    Polish or replace headlight?

Make sure it has deet in the ingredient. I did this for an ex girlfriend and it worked great. Might have to keep doing it ever 5 or 6 months, maybe sooner depending on where you live. I still suggest replacement for a permanent fix.

    AC controller repair

My AC has been blowing through the defrost vents on acceleration then going back to the panel vents on normal driving (cruising). I thought I had this fixed with new vac hoses and check valve as it was working correctly for a while. Well, apparently not. I saw a video about ac controller...

    Severe misfiring on 5.4L

I would think that a bad charging system could definitely cause issues for you and not just misfires. Anytime you have a pulse in the electrical system you can have a variety of problems. Are you able to test the alternator as well as the battery? I had a similar issue on a motorcycle a few...

Air Conditioning Quits Blowing Hard at Highway Speeds

Here are some pics from my truck. This is a pick of the valve right behind the battery. This one shows the vacuum canister behind the battery. I haven't removed it, but I think it is attached to the battery box. Not 100% sure on that though. Here is a view of the vacuum canister...

What did you do to the expy today

Not today, but a few days ago. Upper and lower control arms, rear brakes, rotors, calipers, pads, fluid flush.

Air Conditioning Quits Blowing Hard at Highway Speeds

The check valve on mine is on the passenger side of the truck toward the firewall. If you follow the vac line from the the battery area, you will see it about a foot or so up the line. If I get time tomorrow I will take a pic and post it for you. In the meantime, here is a picture I found on the...

2000 Eddie Bauer Road Trip - Maintenance

257700 miles and growing. I take this beauty on a 2500 mile road trip twice a year. (don't mind the missing center cap, it has been replaced). Along with all the other statements, make sure you check the wipers and fluids. All the wipers, even the back. I do use high mileage oil every 7500 miles...

Air Conditioning Quits Blowing Hard at Highway Speeds

So this reply is a little late, but I had this problem for a long time and just dealt with it. Then I had someone tell me to replace the check valve. Its inline on a vac hose in the engine bay. It was a $9 part at a dealer and took all of 3 minutes to replace. It still does it once in a while...

    Hit 250k

Its a 99. To be fair, I bought it with quite a few miles on it. I probably put the last 10-11 thousand on it. It was a garage queen when I got it. I did put a little work into it, but really, I haven't had any issues. The two biggest things I have right now are the AC stops blowing from the...

    Hit 250k

Tonight on the way home from work I hit 250,000 miles. As I entered the driveway, it was at 250,000.1. The .1 isn't picture worthy...lol. Love this truck.

    Dim lights on AC controller?

I actually figured it out. My brother borrowed my truck last week and had the automatic lights off and the dash dimmer set as low as possible. Thankfully it wasn't something worse.

    Fog Light Assembly Replacement...difficult?

You're welcome. I guess it would depend on tire size how much room you have in there. But it wasn't bad at all for me. No rust issues or anything. But mine was a garage queen when I got it.
