    Engine Covers?

I took my cover off my 2017 years ago. Of course, I added an oil catch can and needed to remove it. They do hide the rats nest, but I prefer not having them.

    What to do??

You said that you have 5 kids. Which Expy has the highest payload? A vehicle with all the options will suffer when it comes to how much "stuff" you can shove inside.

    Hybrids Confirmed

I would love the PHEV. I do a lot of local driving for work, but also tow, go cross country, and off road in my Expy. The PHEV would help to continue having an Expy as my 1-vehicle does it all. (This completely ignores how high the prices have climbed since I bought my 2017....)

Anybody try both Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S and XLT?

Has anybody tried both Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S and XLT versions on their Expy? I have around 50k miles on my 4S tires and am getting close to needing another set of tires. I daily drive my Expy. I off road a little. I tow a 7,500# travel trailer. I have loved 4S tires, but was wondering if...

    Towing cylinder 4 misfire

When towing 45+ mph on state highways and trying to maintain speed going uphill, I get a shuddering and then Cylinder 4 Misfire error. I thought it was related to my oil catch can, so I switched to the premium brand. Same problem, so I switched back to the OEM pcv hose. The problem still...

    towing frustration

Have you looked at hybrid trailers? Jayco and Rockwood, for example, make 3 bed models with slides. Your likely payload will be exceeded if you are traveling with 8 people + camper. You'll need two vehicles to travel.

    Falken Wilpeak AT3W vs. Cooper AT3 4S

I replaced the Hankook Dynapro ATMs with Cooper Discoverer AT3s a couple of months ago. In limited towing, I don't really notice a stability difference (P-metrics for both). I have lost about 1/2 mpg, but gained considerable wet and snow traction. I used to get stuck in 4" of wet snow with...

how to tell when key fob battery is dying?

I have more of an issue of trying to start the vehicle with the fob in my pocket. I end up having "no key detected" messages every 2-3 months. So, I replace a lot of these batteries.

    Travel Trailer Recommendations.

I have a 2017 Expy and tow a 2018 Grand Design Imagine 2400BH. The Expy tows and stops just fine, but payload is the biggest challenge. I have just under 1,400#s of payload, so a real world tongue weight of ~850#s, plus hitch, family of 4 + dog, and weight could be an issue. Many people on...

    2017 Expy Window Chrome trim

if my opinion means anything, i like the look on yours. i think the chrome on my looks odd since it's on the front two windows, but nothing is on the rear glass.

when i planned on hauling something large, i have placed a piece of plywood across the two captain's chairs. it's not perfect, but it's functional.

Home Link / Visor Power problems

I took out the 3 screws holding the driver's visor this morning and found the wire to be snug and secure. Since I didn't want to probe much deeper into this (I still have warranty coverage), I put the visor back and secured the 3 screws. My 9 year old suggested I try the garage button anyway...

Home Link / Visor Power problems

Mine just started being a problem this afternoon. The mirror lights doesn't illuminate and the red led doesn't illuminate when I press the homelink buttons. The owners manual doesn't seem to have any tops. Anybody here have experience on fixing these?

    New Tires - 2018 Platinum

I just put on Cooper Discoverer AT3s on my 2017. So far, the dry and wet traction is MUCH better than the OEM Hankook ATMs.

    New Tires

Jason, I usually run my tires near max pressure, as I don't like a squishy ride. I've only got <30 miles on them, but they are quiet and not harsh. Midas installed them and I assume they filled them at around door sticker. I'm grabbing my camper tomorrow and will fill them close to max for...

    Towing?

I have a 2017 Expedition Limited SWB with just under 1,400# of payload and a 2018 Grand Design Imagine 2400bh. I use an E4. It tows fine, but I have to watch my payload.

    2016 / 2017 Sync 3.4 Success?

I just completed the upgrade, as well. I haven't tested everything, but the ForScan Bambi mode is still in my system (along with British spelling of "Favourites"). I will check NiM and text displays later today.

    Catch Can Hose

What hose are you guys using for your oil catch cans? I have tried a couple different hoses, but they keep compressing when the engine gets hot. I have the catch can mounted on the firewall, so the hose from the PCV has to curve a few times.

    Pull behind camper

Jason, agreed, that scale is a great tool for getting a true weight on the tongue. I am good with my ASSUMPTION, since I have seen other Imagine 2400BH tongue weights in other threads and it makes it easier to justify my wife driving separately and later to the camp site. We avoid spouse...

    Pull behind camper

I have a 2017 SWB Expy with HD tow package and tow a 2018 Grand Design Imagine 2400BH. Due to payload capacity, most of the time, my wife will drive our second kid, dog, and assorted other stuff in her Forester. I have a payload of just under 1,400#s and ASSUME I have a tongue weight around...

Salem 30KQBSS Tow question with 2019 Expedition Max

what is the cargo carrying capacity of your TV? the listed hitch weight is DRY, so a loaded hitch weight will likely be well over 1,100#s. (and that is only for the weight of the batteries and propane). my 2017 Expy can only handle a hitch weight around 900#s. I am certain this is too much...

PSI on tires - what do you run?

my tires have a max of 51 psi. i usually run around 42 psi. i don't like the squishy feeling of the tires at lower pressures. my tread wear at 45k miles is totally even.
