3.5 inch bodylift install question
Keep an eye on the shift cable, anything connected to the body and frame ( wires, hoses, etc. ), You will need to remove the lower portion of the fan shroud. Can't remember everything bcuz it's been a few years since I did mine. Wasn't too much though.- ChrisOIFdoc

Fuel fill hose will interfere with the frame past 2" 1/2 inches of body lift. Mine is touching the frame and I used double stacked hockey pucks for my body lift.- ChrisOIFdoc

2000 Expy EB 4x4.....looking for info on lifting Eddie up some more
Torsion keys plus rear coils for 2" 1/2 lift. Double stacked hockey puck body lift for another 2" 1/2 lift. I have 38" tires on her now- ChrisOIFdoc

I’ll try to help. What tricks have you tried? Are you sure the selector switch is working? Can you, or have you pulled the shift motor and cycled through the selector options to ensure the motor is doing what it needs to? To prevent giving you bad advice. If the axle nut isn’t holding the bearing pack together it should be ok. I have 99 but I can’t remember for sure what it looks like. I’m in Rio Rancho. Are you in ABQ? I may be able to swing by- ChrisOIFdoc

Remove both cv’s and go for a drive. Could be the front brake, front diff, wheel bearing etc. It’s a start anyway. What year is your expy?- ChrisOIFdoc

I had an 05 expedition. 3 valve motor was a constant pain in the a$$. Cam phaser issues were constant. I finally disconnected the left bank sensor, ran it for two years that way with the check engine light on. Loud squeal or screech before stall sounds like a spun bearing. No oil in the motor with a spun bearing would mean looking for a used motor.- ChrisOIFdoc

About wheel/tire sizes
I used to live in Laurel, MT and I remember the roads being pretty rough. I would want more rubber on the road than what a 20" wheel would provide. Get some used ones on Ebay...- ChrisOIFdoc

Something like this is hard to diagnose without actually hearing or feeling for ourselves. I'm at a loss without driving it myself.
