Which model of Motorcraft Spark Plugs works in my 97 5.4 XLT?
Actually the SP-479 are easier to find, cheapest I could find was 45 bucks for 8 plugs, only the SP-459 are the hard to find ones, even in the rockauto link you shared the only motorcraft listed are the SP-459 and the SP-459X, couldn't find any with cheap shipping, I was going to get them...- CesarSal

Which model of Motorcraft Spark Plugs works in my 97 5.4 XLT?
All the auto parts stores recommend the SP-459 ones which are so hard to find here in Mexico, some website suggest me to use SP-493 and SP-479 confirming that those fit my expy, but I cant find info that say they actually fit. Poor gas mileage.
My first thought was that the road is a complete downhill from start to finish and I was towing about 200lbs, not a lot of weight but still some weights , not the first time I made that travel, but first time towing, don’t know if 200 made the difference.- CesarSal

Hello everyone, I’m from Mazatlan, Sinaloa, México(“El Chapo’s” land). I have 1997 XLT 5.4 Triton, bought it in Los Angeles and drove it all the way back to Mazatlan in 2006, been having some issues lately but still in love with the truck, since I’m a 6’4” guy there’s not many cars I fit in.- CesarSal
