Finally got the issue solved. We visited the inlaws for thanksgiving the father inlaw took our Expedition to his mechanic. He replaced the brand new altenator that I had already installed with another new one. It seemed to solve the problem for about 4 1/2 hours and the issue reappeared again...- Jeremy Martin

Sorry about that - it is the 5.4 L. It's the frustration of the whole situation that has my mind jumbling around the numbers. I have 2 vehicles both Ford and both are having issues.
