    Rarest Expedition?

I really don’t know much about them other than they are considered/called 3 door SUV’s (even though they also have 2 swinging rear doors instead of a gate) because of only having 1 door on the driver side and 2 on the passenger. I myself have just recently stumbled across one of these on YouTube...

    Rarest Expedition?

It may not have been called an Expedition, but it’s definitely the grandfather of them. The rare Mexican B100.

    2017 - 100k mile report

Glad to hear! Is your 17 an XLT and is it a shorty or an EL.

    Anti theft issue

How about the starter solenoid connection? Has the starter ever been replaced? It may be an internal problem in the starter solenoid loosing contact until it heats up from numerous start attempts. It may be a stretch but it’s something to consider. You could take the starter off and bench test...

    2017 overheating

I’d start with checking the electric fan and fan relays. I know on my 17 the fans increase speeds as needed all the way up to warp speed. It sounds like it would suck you in through the grille like a jet turbine engine.

2017 Expedition EL Overheating while towing

After reading this post I can’t help but think your belt broke when a water pump fin broke and wedged against other fins causing it to temporarily lock up causing the belt to fail. Once the belt broke, the pump pulley was free to spin in the opposite direction to un-jamb any existing impeller...

My Timberline told be to take a break?

Good Choice on Dio! Maybe try not to air guitar or use the steering wheel as a drum next time?

    Dam Squirrels

Hopefully your engine didn’t ingest any of the debris in the air box. If so it may not be as great of an outcome as you think. I had a cousin that had mice chew up an air filter in a lower mileage Honda Accord at it caused it to burn oil pretty rapidly.

Yes it is, and by us not enforcing border laws we a letting drug traffickers literally walk right in. It’s all connected, more street drugs, more junkies, more crime. Then we also are plagued with less police and more restrictions put on law abiding gun owners combined with States Attorneys who...

He’s talking about a 2nd amendment friendly state (the right to bear arms). He’s trying to make a point that (in his opinion) law abiding citizens bearing arms doesn’t deter crime. The one point he is missing though is a good guy (law abiding citizen, police officer, military, etc….) with a gun...

2015 Expy HD tow, but with 3.15 rear end. Why?

Yeah it’ll be way less expensive to change ratios on a 4x2 if needed. If she tows with “tow/haul” selected it will help with staying in a gear it needs to pull the hills instead of shifting constantly.

2015 Expy HD tow, but with 3.15 rear end. Why?

I’m pretty sure the Ecoboost will not have a problem towing 5,000 lbs with those gears. Of course it’s not ideal gears and it’ll most likely search for lower gears on hills, but it should still get the job done .

For Those Who Don't Think a Catch Can is Needed on Gen 4 s...

Do a search for Ford Tech Makuloco Team RXP catch can. That’s the video that I watched that lead me to decide the Team RXP can. It’s very informative.

For Those Who Don't Think a Catch Can is Needed on Gen 4 s...

Yeah my average is about a quart per 40k so far. That’s gonna be a gallon at 160k unless things pick up because of wear (more blow by). My can doesn’t catch water (condensation) because it’s an oil separator also, which the water actually helps with good fuel atomization, combustion, and...

For Those Who Don't Think a Catch Can is Needed on Gen 4 s...

This what I’ve collected in 40 couple thousand miles. I can assure you that it’s not all gas, at best 50% I’d guess by its viscosity . Either way I’m glad it’s not laying in my intercooler or baked on plugs, valves, etc…….. It definitely doesn’t look like 93 octane with its advertised “very few...

For Those Who Don't Think a Catch Can is Needed on Gen 4 s...

One thing everyone has seemed to miss here is how a catch can also helps stop the intercooler from oil/gas logging. Some other benefits should be more fuel efficient due to cleaner valves and plugs, and one would think the catalytic converters would less likely clog from burning oil through...

High Then Normal Iron Content in Oil

How does the engine sound? Does it burn oil? My first guess would be camshaft and or followers.

    Fire!!!

I guess people will have to put heavy skid plates over their tanks and while they are at it put catalytic converter guard shields on also. With not only gas prices skyrocketing but also food, housing, and inflation overall, people become desperate. Desperate people do desperate things. How did...

I actually turned one down that my cousin got rid of that was like new. I could’ve got a great deal on it but at the time I didn’t want to lose one of my garage door openers that have a rail that runs right down the middle of the double doors. I probably should’ve designed my garage with a...

When I built my rancher I changed my blueprints from a 2 car to a 4 car garage with 12 foot ceilings and 9 foot double doors. I still wish I had more garage space. I even poured a grade beam in the slab right down the center of all 4 bays for a 2 post lift to set on in the future. I’ve got way...

Not sure if they make a locking gas cap for these gas cap-less fill necks?

    Fire!!!

Yeah just wait until the gas siphoning bandits strike again like they did in the 70’s gas crisis. They prefer good neighborhoods and big SUV’s because they are most likely kept close to full and have large tanks.

    Fire!!!

On my 1995 F150 the recall was for an unfused wire that ran under the master cylinder that eventually could get brake fluid leaked on it causing it to corrode an short out. The fix was splice in a fusible link. That was a simple fix. I don’t understand why they had an unfused wire to begin with.
