On an 07, how do I get the center and front roof lights out, and the lights on the sun visors? I got an LED kit but so far have only been able to replace the bulb in the rear light.
I don't want to break anything. The LED in the back is cool white VS the warm white of the incandescent bulb so...
$9.48 for a 10 piece set for 07-17 Expedition. https://www.temu.com/goods.html?_bg_fs=1&goods_id=601099532021788
I have the rear roof light replaced. Had to squeeze the clips a bit to grip the LED. Much brighter and whiter than the old one. Of course there are zero instructions so I don't know...
I'll contact the local dealer and ask if they have anything on TCM programming updates. Or perhaps I should try a dealer in a different town. Seems to me like that repeated lag then hard engagement could eventually do damage to one of the clutches. I wonder if someday when I hit the gas to go...
It may not have its original transmission. When I had it serviced the dealer had to get the shallow filter because it has the shallow pan instead of the deep pan Ford's records show it should have.
I have a 2007 that usually, but not always, is slow to do the 1-2 shift when pulling away from a stop. When it gets around to shifting it shifts pretty hard and jerks.
I've had other vehicles shift like that, and worse. A bottle of Lucas additive has always done the trick. When I had the...

AMP Research and Rough Country make aftermarket power retracting running boards. If you don't want power ones, the base model Expedition boards can be picked up pretty cheap, especially if you have a wrecking yard near...
For vehicles with only a mechanical fan, I have a schematic and parts list for a DIY dual fan controller that first turns them on in series so each is running half speed on 6 volts, then if the temp gets hot enough it switches the fans to parallel so they run at full speed at 12 volts. Both...
For the dongle this is a good BlueTooth one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B011NSX27A/
This Veepeak dongle can also access other modules so it works on hybrids with software made to access the additional components. I use it with Dr. Prius on a 2009 Prius.
If you're going to work on...
I was told that one does not simply add power running boards to an Expedition that didn't come with them, especially a base model with none of the frills like a navigation system. The control electronics aren't there.
Depending on how complex the step motors are, they could be fairly simple or...

My 2007 has a sometimes very slow 1-2 shift, like it's slipping then a pretty harsh shift. I had the transmission fluid and filter changed at the local dealer and they insist it worked fine when they test drove it. I've had such issues with Ford transmissions before and swapping one quart of...
My 2007 EL has none of the fancy optional stuff in the dash, just the radio with single disc CD player. No navigation system, infotainment or other such frippery and gewgaws. Aside from being the EL model it's pretty much as no-spec as was possible to get in 2007. Doesn't even have a sunroof...
I took the light off so I could get a look down in there and I don't see anywhere it could clip into place. Looks like it might be something slightly bent, holding it forward. The plastic is cracked at the back corner just below the light.
Anyone have pics with the end off?
Needs to be on https://www.reddit.com/r/Justrolledintotheshop/
If you live in an area where they use a lot of salt on the roads it's a good thing to get your own undercarriage washer. A water broom flipped upside down will flush it.
It wouldn't be a problem if the people who design engines would have the PCV vent into a wet part of the intake. But for some reason they love to dump it in upstream of or just downstream from throttle bodies so it gunks up the throttle body and all inside the intake and the Idle Air Control...
Not having that wouldn't bother me. I can't stand that "feature" when it's just on the driver's door and I check the manual and online to see how to turn it off. When I want the window open just 3 inches I expect it to move as long as I'm holding the button and stop when I let off.
The idea of doing damage assessments remotely using a few photos is BS. Can't find all the damage without looking at the vehicle in person to look under, inside, behind everywhere. If there's no structural damage I'd absolutely fight any claim of it being totaled since replacing removable parts...
Any how-to's on pulling the radio? Seems I also need to repair or replace the lighter socket that's on the same silver plastic panel. May as well do a two-fer fix.
Any kits out there for installing an aftermarket stereo that works with the subwoofer in the back?
