I also did Helwig front and rear. I did mine more due to the fact I tow a big travel trailer but it made a big difference both towing and unloaded. Definitely corners much better as well!
That trailer is totally fine for your vehicle. I have the same truck with max tow and have a significantly heavier trailer. For tow comfort you’ll probably want better tires with more firm sidewalls and aired up closer to max. I went with some continentals. I also did rear sumo springs and...
I did Bilsteins before the sway bars and that fixed the floating and bouncing. I tow a lot so I got the sway bars for stability. Very happy with both decisions.
Thank you gents. Now my next question. I have looked and found what look like universal end links for energy suspension, and I don't see any specific to the expedition. Would any of you happen to have part numbers? Thanks either way!
I have seen the moog links but mixed reviews. I've seen the Hellwig adjustable but not sure I want to mess with all that and they're freaking expensive. Any other options you've seen? Going on a 2020 max.
Does anyone have the expected lead time to receive the Helwig rear sway after order? I ordered one through suspension connection early this year and after having to reach out to them monthly as they never contacted me they continued to tell me an eta of 4-6 weeks every time I called. After 4...
Looks like you have Expy Max from the pic is that correct? I'm looking at a travel trailer that would max out at 8k lbs. Good to know what you've done. I'm going with the 5100s also, but not sure about sumo springs yet. I'm waiting on the rear sway bar, hoping for April delivery!

For a little clarity on this, are you saying you'd replace the front struts first? I'm admittedly semi ignorant to the complete parts list as I just picked up my 2020 expedition max a month ago, but as far as I have read it's struts in the front and shocks in the back. Does that sound correct...
Ok I have read a ton on here about suspension. I actually find it fine as is, if I weren't going to be towing a travel trailer. Here's my question. Would you upgrade the rear springs to heavier duty springs(if so, any suggestions?) or just go with sumo springs on the stock suspension? I will...
