I hauled a probably 2400lb pop up camper with my wife’s 22 expedition max XLT 4wd last weekend with the cargo area loaded down and the mpg read out read roughly 10-12 mpg. All “up hill” from the Texas gulf coast, back to the heart of Texas (lots of hills) .
Thanks, and I know that there wasn’t a huge change, just a refresh But with that refresh, some of the stuff changed up on the bumper like the trim pieces I think. Not enough to make it a huge deal but enough to keep the grille guard manufacturers from saying whether it would work or not. Also...
Well, after making lots of phone calls for the last 6 months trying to confirm if an 18-21 grille guard will fit on a 22 expedition, I finally bit the bullet and bought one to try out. Picked this one up (SteelCraft) that was a scratch/dent special on eBay for $400 after shipping. It went on...
If you don’t mind, could you post some pics of your grille guard install (on a separate thread would be fine) so we can see how much needs to be trimmed, and if we would need to on non-timberline 22’s
The headlights are fantastic on the 22’s. I can see those TX hill country deer in the bar ditch about 300 yds ahead of me, giving me ample time to react if they decide to run out in front of me. Just waiting on Ranch Hand to figure out if the 18-21 grille guard works on the the new front ends or...
I don’t want to get your hopes up but it only took the train 5 days to get from the KTP to the UP railyard in Mesquite, TX. From there, my car sat at the railyard for 10 days before being delivered. Granted, this was back at the beginning of May when Ford wasn’t back logged with getting cars on...
I figured it would be the same, just wish I knew where the TBC pigtail that’s supposed to be behind the dash is located and if it’s as simple as plugging in a ‘21+ F150 TBC into said pigtail.
Ok, went by the dealer today see about getting the integrated TBC installed on the 22 expy. Ford’s Parts catalog is still showing showing that the 2021 TBC is the part needed for our 22’s. The parts guy at my dealer confirmed that this is an error in Ford’s parts catalog because there is no way...
Actually, the coin slot is for the trailer brake controller according to the 21 f150 dash. The trailer control knob is about and it looks like they had a hole punch out of the dash to mount the trailer control knob.
I have confirmed that my expedition doesn’t have the wire harness on the back of the coin tray like it should either. I spoke with the parts guy and he’s trying to figure out what they can do. He said according to the schematics he has on his end, the pigtail should be there. Maybe something the...
I confirmed today that you cannot adjust trailer gain from the steering wheel controls if your 2022 Expy doesn’t have the integrated TBC installed already. Called my dealership and they said they can get me in next week to install the TBC from the 21 f150. They said it should work just fine
We got the car picked up today, and I must say that the wait was well worth it, even for a basic XLT trim level version! The ride is great, SYNC 4 is awesome, and the cloth interior is super comfortable and I even like the design. I though when I was getting onyx black interior, it was going to...
Mine sat at the rail yard for 13 days before it got picked up by an auto carrier. The trucking industry is hurting for drivers right now if I had to guess.
