Transmission or transfer case??
No it doesn't smell burnt.. it sounds like it's coming from the tranny. But it's only when I try to put it in park... almost like the tranny is in gear but the T/C is in N or vice versa. Idk I'm not a mechanic but I've got a pretty good understanding of general mechanics. If that makes since...- Lawrence

Transmission or transfer case??
No movement when in drive or reverse. When tried to put in park it makes grinding noise. It was driving fine until I got off the highway. Stop at light on exit ramp and it wouldn't move when I tried to accelerate. I have a 97 expedition xlt 5.4 triton 4x4- Lawrence

Frankenstien my starter!0】])
Can I put the cone nose from my old starter on a flat nose starter. Or can I use the brushes from the flat nose on my coned nose they are practically new- Lawrence
