I have an 05 Expy XLT with the factory radio. The radio itself seems to be on the fritz, which is good because it gives me a reason to replace it. I don't want another factory job, but rather something with either a USB interface, a minijack, or at the very least, something without a cassette player taking up space. Navagation would be awesome.

But what size is the radio? Is it actually double DIN? I go to Crutchfield.com and it lists single DIN and double DIN radios that should work, but the 2x DIN units just look too big. Would they need modification of the dash to fit proper?

Thanks!

I think something like the Pioneer AVIC-D3 should fit. Not sure. I think only some double dins fit in there, or something like that. Can't remember. Wait for others to chime in.

As far as I know all the Double DIN units have to be within certain size constraints to stay a DDIN. I myself have an older Alpine W200 DVD/LCD etc. It's a double din and looks like it was made for the location. Moral of the story - all Double DIN's should work. Dont forget about the depth though!
