Greetings to everyone. I'm brand new to this forum. I'm describing what seems to be an "electical malfunction"...
Vehicle: 2000 Expedition XLT. Owned since 2003.
Mileage: 117,000
Symptons (Ocassional):
"FIX": Slap the top of the dashboard over the instrument panel with my hand several times until the odometer readout appears.
Does this sound like a loose connection, or a bad module ("brain")?
I searched this forum and discovered several of you talking about water in a fuse box. I will check for condensation or rain. But has anyone found that slapping the dashboard snaps the Exp into attention? This morning it wouldn't start for my wife. I slapped the dash three times then it fired right up, everything working fine.
Thanks in advance for any advice/help!
