I removed my running board fuse on my 2000 expedition. The reason was I sit outside my truck listening to my stereo. I wanted to cut down on current draw, and who needs floor boards lights anyways. I'll bet your past owner did like I did.

Actually I am the original owner of the vehicle (hard to believe - I know), I think it was the mechanic I had it to a week or so ago, when he installed my new Cold Air Intake system and was doing a once over inspection...and probably pulled and was checking some fuses...and did not replace, because they were working over the summer fine.

The factory "courtesy" lighting has 9 bulbs. That is like 70-90 watts. That is a good pull on a battery. I switched to LED, they look brighter and are low wattage.
