2003 Expedition Heater Core

Hello all. I have a 2003 Expedition - Eddie Bauer 5.4L, with a bad heater core. I have the entire dash off and I am down to the heater core box. It appears that the top of the box separates from the bottom, but I can't seem to make this happen. I have removed all 8mm screws/bolts I can find. There seems to be 3 sections to the top of the box, the left and right sections overlap the middle (where I need to get to). Does anyone h2003ave any suggestions (other than ripping it off in a rage) on how to get this box open?

My first generation had a one piece top. Check the perimeter with a mirror to make sure you didn't miss any screws.

Yes, every picture/video I can find shows a one-piece top. I will continue my search for more screws after work. Hopefully I find something.
