Gotta get a jack to get my gut under the exp but the 30AMP fuse 40 was blown and a replacement made no change.

Sounds like a bad starter

There is a in-line connector C1026

Trace the wire from the starter back to the fuse box and disconnect that connector Then try turning to the start position and check the voltage at C1026.

If you replace the starter you may want to consider replacing the relay as the contacts most likely have been burned

BEFORE ALL THAT:

Pop trunk

Look on driver side rear trim panel (trunk area/behind third row)

Pry off the trim panel marked "Fuel Reset"

Press and hold switch inside for several seconds

Try starting the truck

Yeah I thought mine was a battery problem or a starter problem too...sure SOUNDED like it

Btw thats not a "fuel problem", it's a fuel cutoff that cuts off fuel flow and/or pump.... it engages if certain sensors get tripped and the truck thinks it might've got hit....and/or when you mess with electricals....who knows, it just HAPPENS. Generally after replacing something

ANYWAY.... It takes 30 seconds, it works when you least expect it to work, and it beats standing around stranded or throwing money at a problem that MIGHT not exist

Please explain how "messing with electricals" will trip an inertia switch that only has 2 wires.

Even if it was tripped the switch cuts power to the fuel pump not the starter.
