Guys,

I have an 09 Exp Max with retractable running boards. The drivers side failed closed a year ago and now the passenger side has failed "OPEN" or DOWN.

I can't get the three screws out to remove the motor cover. Is there any way to manually put the running board back up into place? I don't need it operational now, just want it closed up for winter.

thanks in advance.

I do not know for sure on the '09 but isn't there a setup in the info center? Maybe it's a bad fuse or relay that can activate it long enough to close it up tight? Failing that, finding out where the motor leads go so that you can hotwire the motor to operate pulling it closed, my guess is reversing polarity changes the direction it turns.
