2010 5.4 ticking noise just started. Just turned 100K.

Replaced all idlers and belt last fall. Rechecked today. All seem OK. Checked alt.bearing, waterpump bearing and p/s pump. All seem OK. Noise increases w/rpm. Seems to get louder as motor warms. As near as I can tell, coming from top of engine, more toward driver's side. Anyone come across this before? Appreciate any help. Thanx.

The problem with someone describing "noise" is only up to the imagination of the reader to figure out what that noise might sound like.

For the most accurate diagnosis I strongly recommend you upload a video to YouTube and share the link here.

These 3v 5.4 tritons make a lot of different ticking noises from so many different components and everyone here is just gonna play a guessing game until and suggest fixes you prolly won't need so save yourself the headache and post a video
