2010 Expedition - getting rid of the midget with a hammer behind the dash

Folks,

I've had this problem twice before and it seems to always cost me $500+ at the dealer to fix...and it's back.

I think it's the blend door solenoid???? That's the best my memory says. Whenever we turn on the heat it sounds like a midget (sorry...little person) behind the dash beating with a hammer.

Right now the heat and the air is working but the heat didn't work yesterday...according to my wife.

Is this something I can take to ANYWHERE besides my dealer to have it fixed for less money? While I am relatively handy and can do most things this one would be beyond me...I think.

It's not too bad of a job. It's easier on your 2010 than on my 04..

Check the video posted. It's a really easy job and will run you less than $50 if you do it yourself.
