1999 5.4. Electronic control for the ac has no power when the outside temp is hot. When the outside temp cools down it comes right on. I changed the eatc but still the same problem

Yes. To make life easier you should get a copy of the service manual and reference the wiring diagrams.

There might be a restriction in your ac system causing your compressor to cycle off when the ambient temp. is high. Have the system pressure checked and possible areas of restriction replaced to avoid compressor damage.

Please explain how a safety switch kills power to the EATC. Everyone one I've worked opens the circuit to the compressor.
