I just noticed the other day that even during the day the headlights are on when the dial is set on Auto. They used to only turn on a night and now they are on all the time? Nothing is covering the sensor on the dash. Any ideas?

Bad switch or defective sensor ? I assume they still work normal in manual ? Rock Auto has the switches but the sensors may have to come from the dealer or a junk yard.

I did have the "sun load" sensor go bad on an F150, 2004 or 2006 model, don't recall 100%. Can't say for certainty if its the same for your Expedition, but the replacement sensor also fit many different Ford Lincoln and Mercury products of the time.

YF1Z-13A018-AA is the part number that Amazon said I ordered. $30 shipped.
