Beeping 5 times

After driving for about 5-10 minutes i hear a beeping. It sounds like it comes from under the glove box.. it beeps 5 times then stops for a second then repeats after a while it will do a few long beeps then back to beeping 5 times.. as this is happening my rpm hits 0 even though there is power and after a few my engine is killed or if i turn it off and try to turn it on its "dead" and the theft light blinks rapidly then when i jump it starts right up and is good to go im going insane i have not a lot of mechanic experience so any help would be wonderful!! tried to read forums but no ones was just the same as mine... thanks in advance.

Try to reset the ECU. Sometimes its just a glitch.

How do I do that? Unplugging negative battery terminal?

By dicconnecting the battery for a minimum of 30mins

it was a bad battery connection!! i cut stripped battery wires and reseated them in terminals and it is working fine so far!
