from my experiences and Dgray69 (expy on bottom of page).... I would once a year take the bug shield off and wax that part of the hood.... when I put on my new hood he took my old one since his had rusted out from a bug guard... I had the same problem on my 97 f150

Anders, here is the "Ford Accessory" one you ordered on my Expy.

Hardly visible on a Black Expy.

I say I'm going to order one everytime I get home from Arizona. But I don't know if I want to go smoked or clear. Mine is blue.

Ok, finally succeeded the post service to deliver a very long and thin package...

Easy to mount and im pleased with the result... but RI- Matts looks better, my got more distance to the hood in the middle. But I suppose it will settle.

Hi Anders,

Glad to see you finally received your bug shield. It looks good. I would like to know where you got your grill. I was thinking about replacing mine, I like the look.

Wow that black on black looks nice! We've got a gunmetal gray coat with chrome trim, so we splurged for the chrome deflector instead of plain smoked. I am telling myself that by reflecting UV rays it will last twice as long in order to help justify the cost...and it does look sharp!
