Drivers door lock not working and drivers window inop

recently bought a '97 EB expedition with 4x4 and the 4.6l, when pushing the luck/unlock button on the master switch or on the key fob all the doors lock/unlock except for the drivers door, checked the fuses (which are good) and replaced the drivers door lock regulator, now, the drivers door still doesn't lock/unlock and the drivers window will no longer roll down, just a clicking noise when pushing the window button, not sure what to do next

ok this might sound silly...but try it with the vehicle in gear. might be a wet GEM. mine did the same thing...window would only roll down with it in gear....
