Not exactly an aftermarket add-on, but it's free.

The Expedition comes with a stock Ford blue oval emblem on the front grille. It is attached to the grille via two screws which can be removed from behind (provided the plastic engine cover is removed - easy to do).

I did some reading at other forums and found that some people were able to remove the blue background from the chrome blue oval to gain a completely chrome ford emblem. It involved using a hair dryer or heat gun and picking away at the plastic.

An easier way is to boil water until it is steaming.

Find a large enough bowl to immerse the emblem in.

Fill the bowl with HOT water. Dip the emblem in and hold it there under water for a few minutes. This will soften the plastic enough to make it easy to pick at and remove the plastic.

Some small blue plastic pieces may tear off from the plastic and remain.

Not a problem.

While keeping the emblem immerse in the hot water, you can use a blade to lightly scrape off the remaining plastic. Since you'll be working in the hot water, it will be fairly easy to remove so no need to press hard. Just scrape off the remainder.

Then you are done. A completely Ford Chrome Oval Emblem. Much easier than working with a blow dryer.

Note: You're working with HOT water, so try not to burn yourself.
