I have had Forscan windows version running on the Linux WINE for quite awhile now. It seem to be fully functional. Upgrades work too.
My base system is a laptop running Fedora 38 XFCE ( I have not tried it on GNOME. )
WINE version: 8.12 ( anything after 8.5 seems to work)
Tested interface: OBDLinkEX
Forscan: 2.3.55
You do NOT install the windows USB device driver. Add yourself to the "dialout" group. Then logout and log back in.
