The front lock has been out for a year and the now the back door lock is doing the same thing when you try to unlock or lock the car. It makes a grinding noise but you here it trying to openor close but wont?

What part do i need and is it easy to replace?

Sounds like your door actuator is acting up. Its pretty straightforward to replace but like everything, its time comsuming since you have to take off the door panel.

The door panels are real easy to take off on the 03-06s (not sure on the 98-02s?) But yea, it sounds like the actuator might not be doing it's job. Do they both grind?

Either way, it seems easy to replace. Basically, remove door panel, remove door latch, release a locking tab, and switch out the new for the old. Reverse process and you're done.

I'll post detailed instructions tomorrow if you want.
