High idle

My 2000 ford expedition idles high when I start it up but goes down to normal after 15seconds..Help Pls [emoji13]

How high is your idle rpms and what is the lower idle rpms?
15 sec to idle down is pretty good.

Could be the IAC, (idle air control), valve just needs cleaning.

Depending on your high idle speed, might not be anything to worry about.

Ok Mike I will clean the iac it idles around 1800 then drops to 850 in 7seconds..

would have to ask how long between starts?
what's the ambient temp too?
any chance you have unmetered air entering somewhere, or a vacuum leak?
