I thought the amber lenses on an XLT would richen the look, and it's better than the black plactic that's there now. But the main reason is for safety and visibility, lots of cars now have turn signal indicators on the outside mirrors.
This job was a lot bigger than I had initially thought. I had to to the junkyard to buy the turn signal bulb connector. But I haven't seen any other XLT's with this mod.
