Oh I thought you were referring to the 6.2 since that's what we were onto lol. Yea the 2.7 is pretty powerful for what it is, to underpowered for a truck though. To be honest I forgot this thread was about the 2.7 since we were talking about 3.5 and 6.2.

I think the missing part of this discussion is the compression in the engine ... if a normally aspirated engine has 100 psi and a twin-turbo has 160 psi, I'm guessing the lower pressure engine lasts longer.

the 6.2L was also added in to the 2012-14 F-150 Raptors to replace the 5.4 ( optional in 2012)

I was looking at a 2.7l with the big gas tank when I was going to swap out my 5.0l 2011 F-150 for a 2016. Was hoping for much improved gas mileage. In areas with flat ground it would have seen a big jump, but where I live is super hilly, and the reported mileage form my local Ford dealer gained were not worth the change.

I will say I am seeing an Improvement gas mileage with the 3.5l on the Expedition vs the 5.0l in the Scab F-150.
