    Hello All,

I wanted to get some feedbacks from everyone before i take it in to a mechanic regarding my SUV.

My 1998 ford expedition shakes when i hit bumps on the fwy and specially when i'm applying the brakes around 60-75mph. At one point that it scared the crap out of me when the whole car shook for awhile until it stopped.

Any idea what the cause of this will be?

thanks in advance for any response.

worn bushings. and or warped discs for the shaking while braking.

Yep, I agree. The independent front suspension of this truck has many bushings, linkages and joints that could easily cause your problems. Most of them are moderately easy to check yourself using a pry bar and a large set of channel locks. But if you don't really know what you're doing, it may just be better to let a mechanic figure it out.
