Nice! What I was getting at was if there was a functional use for the extension, I'd go with it. If you wanted a particular look then that'd be up to you. Either way... bad ass looking Expy

short roof rack = shopping trip to ace hardware to get some cans of paint
Long roof rack = trip across africa coast to coast

Dont know if you get the picture but long roof rack gives a more rugged outdoorsy kind of look

Thanks fellas I have it in the short configuration until I can figure how I want to flush mount the rack with the roof to delete the factory luggage rack

If it was my truck, I'd figure out a way to extend the factory luggage rack rails all the way forward to the a-pillar. Then I'd paint them grey. In my opinion thats the only way a front to back basket would look right. Seems like one rail could be cut in half to achieve this.

Ha, that is a genuinely good idea, I see factory luggage racks at the junkyards all the time maybe I could cut them and graft them together

I see u got the 3" suspension lift.
I'm gonna do the same to my 03 Expedition here n acouple weeks.
Today I finally got my light bar mounted .
So hopefully I'll have mine lifted 3" front and 2.5" rear..

Hey scoot0073, I have 3.5 front and 2.5 rear. With 3 you will still have the nose dive. But It is great love it
