I am thinking about painting my valance and the grey trim pieces on my 99' black.
I picked up a set of trim pieces to paint black, those will be pretty simple to do since there smooth, non-textured.
The valance has a texture , so there is two ways it could look, one being painted with texture still or painted smooth.
I have seen numorous ways to paint the valances, only problem is, they never say how durable or how long does the paint last before , let's say paint falls off when small rocks hit , how bad it scratches or peeling.
I am going to hit it with epoxy primer, from there it will depend if I want the textured look or smooth look.
So my question to anyone who has painted there valance,
What steps did you take?
Did you leave it textured or smooth?
How long did it last before it needed attention if any?
Do you have pics to show?
