I pull around that weight with a shorter trailer. The boat I pull is 25 feet with a diesel motor in the boat, hence the weight. With a trailer that adds several feet, the key is making sure the weight is distributed properly. And as far as I know and thing over 2000lbs is (supposed) to have trailer brakes, correct me if I'm wrong. The expedition pulls the weight no problem, but if you go too fast on the highway I'm sure it would get sloppy. What kind of trailer are you looking to pull is it enclosed or a camper or a boat trailer
