I have a gen 2 2004 expedition. The plastic bumpers are fading a little but the door plastic look terrible. I think the plastic color should be medium grey.

What is the best way to improve the plastic color? Would new wipe last? Is there a product that can be applied after a restoring product to make it last? Or should it better to just clean it, prime it, and use a plastic paint?

You can try back to black, improves it temporarily, but basically the only thing that's long term is prep, primer, and paint, with a quality plastic paint, preferable with a spray gun, and a good Automotive paint. Or you can try to find new old stock from the dealer if still available.
