Long time listener. First-time caller.

I'm planning to install the 3/2 eBay lift and a set of Rancho Quicklift struts on my wifes 04 Navigator Ultimate. Basically the air ride suspension is failing and I would like to take the opportunity to make her rig more capable.

I've confirmed that struts are the same between the Navigator and Expy but Rancho's website only shows parts for the 2007 (3rd gen) and up. I see that @waldo and others have used them on their builds. So I thought I'd use my first post to ask the collective some questions.

Are the struts the same between 2nd and third gens?

If not what part number did you use?

How have they performed for you?

Thanks in advance. 1e281977f4044b517318f576a0d75903.jpg

Thanks for the response.

Have you been happy with their performance?

Not at all, I have them and the truxx lift and then take lines aren't even tight. Just pop them in and good to go. I find the 4 front and 6 in the rear works great for me. Don't put them to stiff if your not loaded up or you'll get weird tire wear. Learned that the hard way.

I use 4 front and 7 for the rear but I have a expedition 07 EL. I also agree if the struts are too hard or soft your tires will suffer.
