Rear struts on a 2007 EB 2 wheel drive ,no air suspension

Noticed on the frost heaves on the roads this winter the rear end of my 2007 EB Expy with 114,000 miles, NO AIR RIDE, bouncing around,Ford want's $480.00 for the 2 back Strut's plus aprox $200.00 in labor,got a quote from a local mom & pop shop that wanted $853.92 for the same job ,HOLY CRAP THATS A LOT OF MONEY , guess the Ford shop is not a stealership after all,what are the rest of you folks doing and what does it cost you, Thanks ,John

Did it myself, couple hundred for some Bilstein replacement shocks, swapped the orig springs back onto the new shocks.

course I do have access to a fairly well equipped shop, which helps.

I paid $71/ea for the MOTORCRAFT ASH-12293. My local shop reused the springs and charged me about $200 labor. Total job under $350.

Where did you find MOTORCRAFT ASH-12293 for $71.00 ea ,my dealers parts dept wanted $240.00 ea for factory original struts,thank you,John

I got them from this place. It shipped from an auto parts warehouse in PA. RockAuto has them also ($62.79 + shipping).
