I got a great deal on a 2015 but it didn't have the DVD players for the kids. I ordered the Rosen kit and it looks pretty easy to install but I need to find a 12V accessory power connection. Is there any good resources for 2015 Expedition wiring diagrams or pin schematics for the wiring harness? I found some 12V on the harness connector, but I don't want to splice into any of the important stuff.

I tried Google image search which has always worked in the past but I'm not finding much. I'm guessing there just isn't much on the 2015's yet.
Are the older ones similar enough to use a 2012 or 2013 wiring diagram?

Yeah, I was thinking of going into the console power point. The DVD player has a HDMI/USB input that can replace the 12V power point anyway, so I can pull it and tap into the power and ground feed. The instructions recommended going to the driver side kick panel and taping into the accessory wires there at the harness junctions.

Are there any good resources for disassembling the center console on a 2015? I have been able to pull up the exploded views on the ford parts site, but it doesn't show screws or clips, just components.

Thanks.

The console won't work for power as the outlets aren't switched. I need an Accessory +12V switched (running or ACC power). I found harness details and installation for a 2011, but I'm not sure how much has changed since then. The ford diagram shows the harness connections look like they are made under the seats now. Does anyone know where I can get the Ford Invision install instructions?

Figured it out. There is a simple harness connection under the passenger seat. They don't sell the connector for the harness connection I could find so I just spliced it into it. There is only a +12V and GND on the connection so it's a piece of cake. The connector is just to the left of the floor vent. It's easier to route the video cable along the center console if you take the back of it apart. It's pretty easy to pull apart. Hope this helps anyone else looking to do it. Using the factory DVD harness will only let the players come on when Accessory power is on. If you tap into the rear power connectors they will stay on so it's nice to have this option.

Hello Kericf
I own a 2015 Platinum and it didn't come with dvd headrest. Planning on purchasing the same as you, for my kids, Rosen for Brunello Leather,. But, I have a few questions if you don't mind:
1-Did it come with instructions and pictures for a 2015 Expedition?
2- Did you bought the dvd that comes with HDMI?
3-Where did you connect the dvd to listen a movie when playing through the truck speakers? Did you connected in them in the HDMI input that is OEM located on the inside of the center console or did you use the FM modulator?
This is my basic dilemma about purchasing this dvds because if, there's no way to connect the audio via HDMI or via Bluetooth, I don't think that connecting it via FM modulator the sound will be any good at all.
4- Did the color interior of the headrest it perfectly match the OEM's interior of the truck?
5-Hows the quality of the image on the dvd's?
Thanks.

1-Did it come with instructions and pictures for a 2015 Expedition?
No, it just had general instructions.

2- Did you bought the dvd that comes with HDMI?
We bought the dual DVD headrests. The new models have an external HDMI connector and USB plug that can go into the rear power point's place. I just zip tied the connector to the bottom of the passenger seat so if you want to connect an external hdmi you can still do so pretty easily and I didn't have to lose the rear power port.

3-Where did you connect the dvd to listen a movie when playing through the truck speakers? Did you connected in them in the HDMI input that is OEM located on the inside of the center console or did you use the FM modulator?

The rosen unit has an FM transmitter. You can adjust the frequency on the monitors so you can find a good clear channel for your area. This seems to work fine. The only other way would be to connect the audio out on the Rosen control box to the external audio in at the back of the ford stereo.

4- Did the color interior of the headrest it perfectly match the OEM's interior of the truck?
I couldn't tell any difference. They are actually a little more comfortable as well as the protrude forward a little farther.

5-Hows the quality of the image on the dvd's?
It's good. No complaints about image quality. Only thing the kids complained about is a slight delay with the wireless headphones.

Does anyone know where you can buy these Rosen headrests. I can only find them by going through a dealer, but I want to do a self install. Thanks!
